Writer and Broadcaster Esther Krakue claims the British government has “undermined steel production” in the UK, labelling it “ludicrous”.
This comes amid the British government’s take over of Chinese owned company British Steel.
“The Chinese company Jingye alleged that the company was losing about 700,000 pounds a day, so it was just completely unsustainable in their view,” Ms Krakue said.
“For the British government to pretend like it hasn’t systemically undermined steel production in the UK is absolutely ludicrous.
“There’s been no long term thinking with our own energy.”
