The 24-year-old from Hancock, has been dating former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, 72, since early 2023.
"I couldn't imagine a better day to share with the world that I will be competing for Miss Maine USA 2025, representing my hometown of Hancock," Hudson wrote in a social media post.
Jordon Hudson wants to be the voice of Maine
In another post, Hudson said she is interested in using her voice to stand up for Maine's fishermen, citing her own family's plight as her reason.
"I was literally born in the waters of Hancock Point, Maine, just like my father, and his father, and his father... since before the American Revolutionary War," she wrote. "And now, as the daughter of displaced fishermen, I am interested in using my voice to protect the ephemeral tradition and legacy of Maine fishing families, to prevent others from going through the same situation as mine."
Perhaps Hudson also paid tribute to her family's fishing tradition with the couples costume that she and Belichick chose last Halloween
The Miss Maine USA website states that the pageant looks for "diverse young women who are not only beautiful, but also intelligent and willing to share their heart and mind as ambassadors of our state and nation." Last year's Miss Maine USA winner was someone you may know: former News Center Maine reporter Anne Baldridge.
This year's Miss Maine USA pageant will be held May 10-11 in Portland, according to the event's website.
