The Indiana 211 system has been turned on for Clay County and many others due to the recent storms and flooding.
Clay County Emergency Management is encouraging people to report damage that they sustained from storms or flooding from March 30 through the present.
“Please contact Indiana 211 if you suffered any damage from our recent storms and flooding,” Clay County Emergency Management Director Rob Gambill said.
Individuals may visit in211.org and click on DAMAGE REPORTING to submit a report. Those without access to the internet may dial 2-1-1 or 866-211-9966, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. to complete it over the phone.
While it’s unclear how much assistance the state may provide, at this time the goal is gathering information.
“We’re not sure what damages, if any, will be covered,” Rob Gambill said. “Still, we want the state to have all of the information available so they can accurately determine what type of public assistance may be made available.”
