SIHHOYE:Allen Vilane,the Madlangemphisi Member of Parliament(MP) has been arrested for attempted murder, he allegedly tried to kill Sihhoye Indvuna Ntswi Magagula on Wednesday amid land dispute.
Efforts to seek a comment from the MP proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Saturday when interviewed by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini, Indvuna Magagula confirmed the matter adding that, the MP was also claiming ownership of a land that was allocated to him by Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe.
“It’s true, the bone of contention is land,he claims ownership of a land that was allocated to me by the Chief,” said the Sihhoye Indvuna.
But Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment about the matter amid allegations suggesting that,the police tried to keep the attempted murder case under wraps after being bribed by the Madlangemphisi MP.
As a result and despite facing an attempted murder charge, the MP was arrested by the Tshaneni Police on Wednesday, subsequently appeared at Simunye Magistrates Court and released on his own recognizance.
