Hey y'all, just grab *** quick bite here at the Orlando Science Center, but take *** look at this. National Hurricane Center tagging this area in the open Atlantic as having *** 10% chance of developing. It's not tropical. They're not expecting it to become anything, but they did tag it just as an area of interest. For us, it's just another reminder, hurricane season is just under 100 days away. We're going to need to be tracking.

The National Hurricane Center has tagged an area of interest in the Atlantic Ocean. The non-tropical low is located about 700 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands and is producing gale-force winds and a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms, the NHC said in a post on X Monday. Additional development is not expected. It's expected to move into an environment of strong upper-level winds and dry air tonight and Tuesday. No additional Special Tropical Weather Outlooks are scheduled for this system unless conditions warrant, NWS said. The National Hurricane Center has tagged an area of interest in the Atlantic Ocean.
