While the Eurovision Song Contest won't happen as planned, this year's event will be celebrated in style with a huge TV special that will unite all of the acts due to take part.

Millions of hearts broke across the world in March when it was announced that Eurovision 2020 wouldn't be happening.

A statement from organisers read: "The health of artists, staff, fans and visitors, as well as the situation in the Netherlands, Europe and the world, is at the heart of this decision.

"We are very proud that the Eurovision Song Contest has united audiences every year, without interruption, for the past 64 years and we, like the millions of you around the world, are extremely saddened that it can not take place in May."

The BBC Eurovision night will ensure that the event doesn't go unnoticed and that will include Europe Shine A Light which will feature ever act who was meant to perform in Rotterdam.

It will be hosted from the Netherlands by Dutch presenters Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit.
