Miami takes on Savannah State Sept. 8 from Hard Rock Stadium

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The No. 8 Miami Hurricanes fell to No. 25 LSU in a upset on Sunday 33-17 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas.

Miami (0-1), at one point, trailed LSU(1-0) 33-3 before Miami would tack on two touchdowns late in the game.

Miami QB Malik Rosier Jr. struggled Sunday night by throwing 15-for-35 on 259 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions.

The running game for the Hurricanes was just as bad, as Miami ran for only 89 yards on 34 carries as a team.

The story of the game was LSU’s rushing attack as Tigers RB Nick Brossette accounted for 125 yards and two touchdowns, which included a 50 yard touchdown run  towards the end of the first quarter to put LSU up 10-3.

The Tigers never looked back as they scored 23 unanswered points after Brossette’s touchdown run.

Miami battled to the end by scoring two late touchdowns to bring the score within two possessions, but LSU’s defense stood tough to seal the victory for the Tigers.

Miami heads back home for Saturday’s home-opener against Savannah State at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff set for 6 p.m.
