It’s going to be wet and windy this weekend as tropical Storm Ernesto arrives.

The weather system is currently moving rapidly over the north Atlantic and approaching Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Things will start going downhill this afternoon in the North-West, with some rain expected in Scotland, Northern Ireland, north Wales and northern England.

It will remain dry and bright in the South-East but don’t get too happy if you live there because it’s going to be cloudy.

But that’s much better than what people further north will be experiencing with the dreary weather set to continue tomorrow.

The south of the country won’t get off scot-free though, with a little wind and patchy rain expected.
